Final School Start Times for the 2023-2024 School Year
School start times for the 2023-2024 school year are now final. Families can locate their school’s start time online.
Transportation Updates
Students Who Receive Bus Transportation
Bus routes for the 2023-2024 school year are being finalized and will be shared with families in mid-August.
Students in Non-Transportation Areas
In the coming weeks, HCPSS will share information and tips with students and families who are in non-transportation areas, including safety tips and how to utilize the Howard County RTA buses where applicable. All middle and high school students are eligible for free RTA passes during the school year.
Families are encouraged to map out and walk the route between home and school this summer to ensure all roads, sidewalks and pathways are familiar to students prior to the start of the school year. Locate all crosswalks and intersections that are safe for crossing the road if that is required and go over these pedestrian tips with your student. If you encounter issues of safety, please contact the HCPSS Office of Student Transportation to make HCPSS staff aware.
